Présentation

Shanshan Zheng est docteure en anthropologie et sociologie de l’Université Lumière Lyon 2 et membre associée du laboratoire LARHRA. En juin 2024, elle a soutenu sa thèse intitulée La patrimonialisation de la religion populaire en Chine. Étude de cas de la fête de Nianli à Zhanjiang, sous la direction de Lionel Obadia.

Ses travaux de recherche actuels explorent les dynamiques de transformation culturelle, religieuse, technologique, économique et migratoire, qu’elle analyse à travers le prisme des processus de la patrimonialisation. Ses terrains de recherche couvrent les provinces du Guangdong, et du Fujian, ainsi qu’à Pékin en Chine et dans la Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes en France.

Shanshan Zheng holds a PhD in Anthropology and Sociology from University of Lyon 2 and she is an associate member of the Rhône-Alpes Historical Research Laboratory (LARHRA). In June 2024, she defended her dissertation titled The Heritagization of Popular Religion in China: A Case Study of the Nianli Festival in Zhanjiang, under the supervision of Lionel Obadia.

Her current research explores cultural, religious, technological, economic, and migratory transformations through the lens of heritagization. Her fieldwork spans the provinces of Guangdong, Fujian, and the city of Beijing in China and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in France.
